Head of the Centres for Banking, and Accounting & Finance
Burhanu Deen Jayah joined BIBF as the Head of the Strategic Centres for Accounting and Finance, IT, Islamic Finance, and Research & Advisory in 2013. In 2014, the Centre for Banking was added to his portfolio, replacing the Centres for Islamic Finance, which he managed until January 2015, and the Centre for IT, which he managed until December 2015.
Mr. Jayah is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) of UK and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). His professional services experience goes back over 17 years of which 13 years in training and education management. He worked as a Director for EY in Bahrain since 2000 managing multimillion dollar training and Human Capital Development (HCD) Projects for Tamkeen (previously known as the Labour Fund of Bahrain), where he designed and implemented professional and vocational qualifications models to skill local talent making them ready for the job market.
Mr. Jayah also holds an MBA in General Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM), UK. He underwent his leadership training at the Harvard University, Boston, USA and holds a B.Sc. in Business Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM – UK).
