Full-Time Head of Finance Department
Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance is seeking a Full-Time Head of Finance Department who will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Finance Department of BIBF.
The candidate must meet the following requirements:

Core Job Responsibilities:

- Advice and partner with Department Heads for development of strategic business plans, budgets and forecasts through financial and business planning models and review and assist them with variance analysis and corrective mechanisms
- Lead and guide the preparation of consolidated budgets, cash flow projections and operational plans for BIBF and provide overall recommendations to the management on efficient utilization of the budget

- Direct the execution of all financial operations including accounts payables and receivables etc. and ensure delivery of effective service levels to all departments within BIBF

- Maintain and administer approved accounting practices to assure that financial statements and reports accurately reflect the status of the relevant accounts and provide reliable information to control operations
- Report on, and ensure integrity and completeness of, management information, including controllable balance sheet items, cash position and forecasting for BIBF
- Manage and prioritize BIBF’s investments; ensure accurate revenue management and monitor the cash position of BIBF
- Liaise and maintain good working relationships with professionals such as bankers, auditors or statutory organizations for the benefit of BIBF
- Monitor and advice management with any changes in legislation or regulations that may affect BIBF’s business operation
- Monitor, interpret and challenge financial results and communicate issues, risks, opportunities and trends, and performance outlook to the management on a timely basis; escalate any issues, if the need arises to respective committees or council
- Approve and review monthly payroll summary report from HR Department and critically evaluate any discrepancies/ variances

- The role holder is responsible for providing assistance to our high school-aged students with SAT examination expectations and requirements for Math & English courses. The SAT Lecturer will prepare class materials, teach SAT courses, score pre- and post-practice tests, and maintain a positive learning environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Adapt provided SAT prep curriculum to meet the needs of the members in the course
- Prepare, organize, and update all course materials
- Pace course information delivery to meet the needs of all students
- Create an interactive classroom environment and establish positive relationships with students
- Ensure that members are prepared for the level of difficulty of the SAT exam
- Possess knowledge of all information pertaining to the SAT test (i.e. format, dates offered, timeline, etc.)

Compliance
- Coordinate the Institute’s compliance framework including review and evaluation of compliance related matters within the Institute as per Articles of Association

Corporate Governance
- Prepare, communicate and update on an ongoing basis the corporate governance framework and corporate controls of the Institute which sets out the decision-making process and defines roles, responsibilities and accountabilities
- Ensure review and improvements of all institute policies and procedures and confirm their timely implementation and operating effectiveness
- Ensure that all policies and procedures of the Institute are effective, fit for purpose, implement risk, control and compliance factors and apply appropriate mitigations on an ongoing basis
Risk
- Support Management in the development of a comprehensive enterprise risk management system
- Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the Institute’s Centers and Support departments.
- Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements to limit the negative impacts of risks and provide a safe learning environment
- Assess, identify, monitor, and reduce pertinent business risks and support the development and communication of the risk planning framework and tools
- Review overall risk associated with BIBF’s Learning Centers / businesses and establish specific auditable areas by identifying key business areas, key functional areas across BIBF, key risk areas across all Centers and technology systems which support the business strategy
- Review the release of confidential information and suggest required controls in the policies, procedures, and any other manuals
- Provide support, education and training to employees to build risk awareness with the Institute
