BIBF achieves prestigious CII accreditation renewal

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has achieved accreditation renewal by the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute (CII, UK), the world’s largest professional body for Insurance, for the professional qualifications provided at the Centre for Insurance at the BIBF. The accreditation was obtained after completing the periodic submission of its professional qualifications and a comprehensive auditing process to ensure the quality of the programmes provided at the Centre.
The BIBF currently offers 13 different units in Insurance – accredited by CII – in both English and Arabic languages. These units range from introductory courses in Insurance to specialised technical units, as well as administrative subjects.
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is the world’s largest accredited awarding body in the field of insurance and financial planning, and has provided qualifications to over one million students in 150 countries over the past ten years. The CII accreditation is well-recognised in the industry and provides formal recognition of high-quality learning and contribution to professional development.
The BIBF has worked with the CII for many years and is considered the only training provider in the world to offer the CII’s Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII) qualification in the Arabic language.
On this occasion, the BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, expressed his pride in renewing the CII accreditation, “This recognition by the CII continues to add further value to our in-house qualifications and provide training opportunities within the Insurance industry at different hierarchical levels.”
He also stressed the BIBF’s commitment to providing world-class training to upskill business professionals on a global level, stressing the importance of cooperation among the stakeholders concerned to develop well-qualified local cadres, which contributes to strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a regional centre for professional training in Insurance.
On her part, the Head of the Insurance Centre, Mrs. Manal Mashkoor, highlighted the BIBF’s achievements in the Insurance field, and the quality of training provided that meets the local and regional requirements with locally-established, internationally-recognised qualifications that is at par with what is offered across the world.
She also added, “The BIBF is committed to providing the best Insurance qualifications to reinforce its position as a premier global Insurance training provider, and we’ll continue to strive towards adding further programmes to our suite of offerings in line with the market needs.”
