Dr. Ahmed AlShaikh

Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh is a distinguished figure in business and finance education, holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Leicester, UK, with a track record of research and publications in areas like financial performance and privatisation. He has held influential leadership roles, including Vice President at Tamkeen, overseeing human resource development and private sector support initiatives.
With over 16 years in higher education, he has contributed significantly to the University of Bahrain and lectured at prestigious institutions.
Dr. Al Shaikh also serves on various boards, including the Human Resources Development Fund – Banking & Financial Sector since 2014, and currently, the College of Health Sciences and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University. His past board positions include Capinnova Investment Bank, the High Council for Vocational Training, and being a member of the Advisory Committee at the BIBF.
Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh was also appointed as a board member of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) to represent the private sector and is a member of the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) Tax Appeals Review Committee. Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh is also the recipient of a Certificate of Fellowship from the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF).
