BIBF’s e-Learning Platform recognised in eGovernment Excellence Award
The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) was recognised for its Islamic Finance e-Learning Platform at the eGovernment Excellence Award 2019 Ceremony in its tenth edition, during the awards ceremony organised by the Information and eGovernment Authority under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information & Communication Technology.
The e-Learning Platform presents the AAOIFI Shariah Standards in an easy to understand manner. Each Standard has a video tutorial, animated explanations, real life case studies, self-assessments and supplementary reading materials.
On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Abdul Ghani Al Shaikh, the BIBF Director stated, “We are proud to be recognised at the eGovernment Excellence Award, as it is one of the most significant national initiatives in the Kingdom. Online learning has blossomed over the past few years, therefore, the BIBF has developed the e-Learning Platform to present the AAOIFI Shariah Standards in a new visual and online representation which helps learners around the world to acquire the understanding of the standards, especially in the Islamic Finance sphere.”
Furthermore, Mr. Mujtaba Khalid, Head of BIBF’s Islamic Finance Centre said, “The BIBF has developed the e-Learning platform of the Shariah standards in-house. The whole idea of launching this e-Learning platform is to make the facilitate the Islamic Finance industry both within Bahrain and globally. Our strategy is to further build our e-Learning capabilities and further expand.”
