BIBF announced the exceptional results of its students who undertook the October exams for the Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS®) qualification awarded by the ifs University College (previously known as the Chartered Institute of Bankers) in partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
The CDCS® qualification is recognised globally as a benchmark of competence for international trade practitioners, enabling them to demonstrate the specialist expertise required to perform effectively in a fast-paced international trade environment.
BIBF students achieved a pass rate of 77% compared to the global average of 54%. Mr. David Morrish, the Relationship Director for International Trade Finance Qualifications at ifs praised the achievement and said, “The October paper seemed to be slightly harder than the previous sessions with a 54% pass rate and the BIBF students performed exceptionally well”.
BIBF’s Head of Banking Mr. Deen Jayah noted that, “out of the 30 qualified CDCS® professionals in Bahrain, 25 have been trained by BIBF, which in itself is remarkable. The quality of our teaching staff and BIBF’s overall commitment to excellence in education has truly been exemplified by the batch’s overwhelming success. I wish them all the very best of luck in their careers.”
