BIBF & EDB to host economist Dr. Dambisa Moyo

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), in cooperation with Economic Development Board (EDB), to host economist and world famous author Dr. Dambisa Moyo on Wednesday 13th of April in BIBF headquarters in Juffair.

The talk will address the current macroeconomic environment given the ongoing economic malaise and impact of geopolitical risks and trends on global markets and growth as well as Market shifts and investment opportunities across asset classes and industries. The free-of-charge session will be moderated by Chief Economist in EDB Dr. Jarmo Kotilaine.

Dr. Moyo completed a PhD in economics at Oxford University and worked previously as an economist at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. She author of the New York Times bestsellers in economics and finance related books. In addition, she regularly appears in economic and finance-related publications as her work examines, in particular, the interplay of international business and the global economy, while emphasizing the key opportunities for investment; capitalizing on her rare ability to translate trends in markets, technology, politics, regulatory matters and economics into their expected impact on global business.
