Chief Operations Officer at the BIBF: Bahrain offers an ideal environment for innovation in PropTech

The Chief Operations Officer at the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), Mr. Ahmed Naeemi, stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has an ideal environment for driving innovation in various promising economic sectors, especially in the field of property technology (PropTech), given the Kingdom of Bahrain has a range of legislative incentives, infrastructure, and individual creative capabilities as well as encouragement and support provided by official and private institutions.
This came during his participation in a panel discussion entitled ‘Bahrain – The hotbed for Proptech innovation’ alongside representatives of several public and private sector institutions in the Kingdom, which was held as part of the Cityscape Bahrain PropTech Summit in the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
Naeemi stressed that the legislation and laws regulating the real estate and technological fields in Bahrain are the most important incentives for creating a spirit of creativity and innovation among workers in this field. This helps in opening the horizons for creative and distinguished ideas that integrated the findings of modern technology in the real estate field, both at the level of design, innovation, and marketing.
The Chief Operations Officer pointed to the strong technology and communications infrastructure found in Bahrain, which is considered among the best in the region, in addition to the qualified expertise and cadres who are always capable of innovation and excellence, as the Kingdom enjoys a number of academic institutions that are capable of graduating distinguished students in the technological sector.
Mr. Ahmed Naeemi noted the efforts of the Government of Bahrain to support digital transformation in various official and private institutions, by providing a set of qualification packages for these institutions, in addition to encouraging institutional and individual ideas and initiatives, within studied plans and programmes that are in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, as it succeeded the Kingdom is achieving high levels of progress in this field.
Naeemi concluded his statement by stressing on the role of the BIBF in supporting Bahrain’s efforts in digital transformation, by providing academic and training programmes that integrate modern technology in various economic sectors, including the real estate sector, because of its benefits that will have a clear impact on the performance of these sectors in the future.
