Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain BIBF takes part in the Middle East Asset Management Forum
The Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance (BIBF) participated in the Middle East Asset Management Forum which was held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), focusing on the importance of training and development for a well-trained workforce.
In line with its objectives to provide industry-relevant training and education courses, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has customised programmes to contribute to the developing and dynamic national economy of Bahrain.
With the Asset Management industry expected to have a strong growth with the number of licensees increasing rapidly, the BIBF has several Assets Management courses for different industries to contribute in shaping the growing future by providing training for human capital development in Bahrain and the region.
BIBF’s Project Management Centre offers sound project portfolio management practices that can assist organisations in making capital investment decisions, managing existing assets, and managing those decisions to fruition. There are many advantages of employing sound business practices through Project Portfolio Management (PPM) to promote better project management practices and improve overall execution of projects and ensures alignment of projects with organisational strategies and the Central Bank of Bahrain mandates.
Furthermore, BIBF’s Islamic Finance Centre also provides Islamic Asset Management courses with a comprehensive overview of asset management and how it is applied in Islamic banking and finance. This course starts with an introductory session on asset management in general and Islamic asset management in particular. Special attention is given to the structure, role and responsibilities of the Shariah Supervisory Board.
BIBF’s Banking and Accounting Centre provides specific programmes designed for bank personnel involved in the Asset & Liability Management (ALM) Process within a bank. Using an ALM simulation programme, this training programme ensures an intensive and practical learning experience. Actual and best-practice issues are discussed and explored in a highly interactive environment. The training programme provides participants with a comprehensive understanding and overview of the Asset & Liability Management (ALM) function and processes within a full service bank.
