The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), the region’s premiere training and development provider, has been awarded the “CXO50” and “CIO50” awards 2021 in recognition of its scalable e-learning platform “MyClass”, by CXO Insight Middle East and CIO Middle East.
The BIBF activated MyClass virtual classes last year in March, as part of its efforts to address the immediate need for remote learning during the pandemic.
The awards were received by Mr. Shaker AlOwainati, BIBF’s Senior Manager of IT and Operations, on behalf of the BIBF, amongst the top winner list in a high-profile virtual Awards Ceremony; honouring organisations and IT leaders who have led the charge during the crisis to shape the new normal. The BIBF MyClass was awarded for its Innovation, Leadership, and Resilience, as core pillars.
Commenting on the occasion, BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed al Shaikh said, “It’s a great honour for the BIBF to receive such remarkable awards to recognise the proficiency of our e-Learning platform.”
Dr. Al Shaikh also praised the efforts of the IT and Operations Team, for making MyClass an award-winning platform despite the difficult times of COVID19. He also extended his sincere gratitude to the Learning Centre Heads, Faculty Members, Customer Service, and Registration Teams for their tremendous support in ensuring a unique learning experience for students.
Upon receiving the award, BIBF Senior Manager of IT & Operations, Mr. Shaker AlOwainati, stated, “During the development stage of the e-Learning platform, we focused on the stabilisation of virtual classrooms, and thankfully these efforts were translated into outstanding results and regional recognition.” He also added, “We will continue to find innovative solutions to provide students with an exceptional opportunity to access high-quality educational resources and support their learning journey.”
The BIBF’s IT team relaunched the new version of the platform in October 2020, which included enhanced features such as a redesigned user interface, a centralised dashboard, and a responsive sidebar for easy navigation and seamless user experience. It also offers a streamlined login experience that utilises Microsoft Office 365 for faculty and students.
