The BIBF wins the eGovernment Excellence Award 2021

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, the region’s premiere training and development provider, has received the eGovernment Excellence Award 2021 for ‘Best eService Award.
The BIBF won the award on the proficiency of its innovative e-learning platform ‘MyClass’, which was activated last year in March, following the lockdowns due to the pandemic to ensure the continuity of the learning process according to the highest levels of performance and security standards while ensuring the safety of students and learners.
The Best eService award recognises the private sector entities offering an eService to their end users with the aim of reducing the cost, time, and effort in accomplishing a task or a series of tasks.
Held under the Patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology Chairman His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the eGovernment Excellence Award is a strategic platform launched by the Information and eGovernment Authority to recognise and reward Bahrain’s pioneering ICT initiatives.
During the award ceremony, the BIBF Chairman, His Excellency Mr. Rasheed Mohammed AlMaraj, stated, “This award is a testament of the Institute’s responsive plans to the challenges imposed during the pandemic and transforming these challenges into opportunities towards further digital transformation, and is testament to the team’s continuous efforts to achieve this qualitative shift and accelerate the BIBF’s plans for digital transformation.”
He also added, “We are determined to continue expanding the journey towards digital transformation at the BIBF, and apply it with the highest degree of efficiency, thereby contributing to the Kingdom’s future prosperity.”
On his part, the BIBF’s Director Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, expressed his pride in receiving such a prestigious award to recognise the proficiency of our e-Learning platform, which constitutes a qualitative leap in the educational system to comply with the requirements of the current stage, by building on the achievements made in the field of e-learning, while reflecting the Institute’s efforts in activating digital transformation plans as a current and future direction to improve the student learning experience.”
Dr. Al Shaikh also praised the efforts of the BIBF’s IT and Operations Team, the Registration and Customer Service Teams, for making ‘MyClass’ an award-winning platform despite the difficult times of COVID19.
The BIBF launched the third version of the e-Learning platform ‘MyClass 3.0’ in October 2020, including enhanced features, such as improved security, navigation, and user experience.
