The BIBF organises “Can Women Have it All” Workshop
The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) hosted a Women Leadership workshop at its premises to identify strategies that ensure women’s equal participation and access in the workplace, in addition to the importance of training and development to unlock women’s potential and support their career development.
Organised by the BIBF in cooperation with AWE Consult, the seminar was led by the Dubai-Based Entrepreneur & Co-Founder of Sustain Leadership, Ms. Hanane Benkhallouk. The session was entitled “Can Women Have it All?” which sparked an interesting debate among enthusiastic and driven participants who come from diverse backgrounds and career levels from fresh graduates to C-suite management.
The discussions also highlighted best practices on women’s entrepreneurship and their contribution to sustainable social, economic and environmental development from an economic perspective.
On this occasion, The BIBF’s Head of Leadership & Management Centre, Dr. Abdulla Al Sada stated, “BIBF has long been a supporter of equal opportunities for women and have constantly commended the role of women in any successful organisation. We see that the potential of women is at its peak and we work towards providing the proper training mechanisms that will ensure women participation in all stages within an organisation, even to the Board of Directors level.”
On her part, the Managing Director of AWE Consult and Founder of Challenge to Change Association, Mrs. Dina Bseisu said, “Women Empowerment is all about creating safe spaces for women to thrive. As we live in a region where at least 60 to 70 percent of graduating talents are females; advancing female talent is no longer a cause, but a business case for every organisation and every country that wants to sustain their growth.” She also added, “The session was very immersive and thought-provoking, where all participants opened up and shared their narrative, which was a big part of the learning methodology used in this workshop.”
As an institute that spearheads thought leadership concepts, the BIBF hosts a number of seminars throughout the year that are open to the public and reflect both local and international perspectives to highlight various trending topics that support the financial industry.
