The BIBF launches the Certified Internal Auditor programme in Arabic

As part of its efforts for human capital development by providing internationally-recognised professional training to the marketplace, the BIBF launched the Certified Internal Auditor programme. The certification is overseen and is accredited by the North American based Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Participants benefitting from this programme come from various government bodies, including the Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and the University of Bahrain.

The BIBF offers this programme in English since 2013, the new Arabic language programme will provide the participants with the opportunity to learn key skills adopted by experienced internal auditors across the globe.

Commenting on the announcement, the BIBF’s Director Ms. Solveig Nicklos said: “Our cooperation with government bodies comes as a reflection of our commitment to excellence for the human capital of the Kingdom. The BIBF always strives to provide exceptional learning opportunities that match local and regional market conditions. With the launch of the Certified Internal Auditor programme in Arabic, we’ll be able to provide a powerful platform for a group of passionate professionals to learn the various aspects required to become an adept internal auditor.”

The Head of the Banking, Accounting and Finance Centre at the BIBF Deen Jayah said: “The launch of the CIA programme in Arabic is an essential step to help staff working in the government and private sector advance their abilities in the field of auditing without worrying about any language barriers. With this training, these individuals will be able to bring better financial performances and governance within their institutions” he added.

The Certified Internal Auditor accreditation focuses on the Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) and aspects of mandatory guidance under the IPPF (International Professional Practices Framework). Through the application of these standards and the application of this framework, holders of the Certified Internal Auditor accreditation are expected to perform key internal audit tasks as per a fixed set of international principles and philosophies.
