The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has announced the launch of a monthly series of public informational workshops, called “Tech Talks”, a series of free workshops for the public, centred on IT Infrastructure and the latest in Technology trends and know-how.
“Tech Talks” was launched with the objective of increasing public awareness about IT issues and is projected as the venue for cutting-edge debate on current research in the IT discipline. The first Tech Talks seminar was conducted on the 16th of February in collaboration with NGN International, which focused on the “Latest IT Trends” which included discussions about big data, internet of things amongst other topics. The seminar was delivered by an expert in the field, Mr. Sidorin Alexey from NGN International.
Commenting on the launch, the BIBF’s head of Operations, IT and Project Management Centre, Mr. Ahmed Naeemi, said “We are delighted to introduce Tech Talks to the market through which we aim to present to the public a reference hub of IT topics, to benefit the various sectors and the general public overall. The importance of awareness in this day and age cannot be underestimated. The more knowledgeable you are in the field of IT and its latest trends the more secure you become in your everyday transactions.”
Mr. Naeemi, also added, “IT today is at the heart of our communications, purchases, transportation, financial and other public services that it becomes essential to raise the level of public awareness about the importance of IT in our lives, and how to deal with different situations as and when they occur.”
“It is a great honour for us to partner with the BIBF and participate in their educational initiatives. Our experience in systems integration in Turkey and the Middle East helps us realise the real needs of companies from various industries and even countries. We accumulate best practices to address their business and technological challenges and develop truly hands-on training courses,” says Yaqoob AlAwadhi, Regional Manager at NGN.
