The BIBF Hosts “The Future of the Innovation Race” and “Digital Disruption” Online Seminars
Wednesday 14th October 2020
In line with the Kingdom’s directives to support businesses and individuals during this pandemic, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) will be hosting a Leadership Webinar entitled “The Future of the Innovation Race” and “Digital Disruption” discussing what it really means to compete in the innovation race, and what the implications are for those who win, lose and are eliminated. Unique global and historical research from a broad range of cultures and contexts provides a sobering understanding of what it will take to stay in the innovation race for the long run.
This Webinar will take place on the 20th of October, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, and is a futurist keynote, providing real strategies that will allow the much talked about ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’ to be a growth opportunity, rather than a dangerously disruptive and potentially eliminating threat.
The Webinar will be led by Dr. Gaia Grant and Mr. Andrew Grant, researchers, authors and keynote speakers, best known for their innovation culture development work with top companies worldwide.
The second part of the webinar will discuss Digital Disruption led by Dr. Susan Kinnear, the Head of Global Communications at the University of Cardiff, UK.
This session will look at the major trends emerging that challenge the communications sector and investigate how agencies and organisations have embraced developing technologies to provide cutting edge competitive advantage. It will overview how the CIPR has responded to the fast pace of digital disruption, working with industry to create a suite of world leading professional courses to equip practitioners with the skills and credibility they need to excel in this exciting sector.
The BIBF’s Head of Leadership & Management Centre, Yousif Ali stated, “Cutting-edge competency development and knowledge-sharing is a key driver of achieving ambitious visions and succeeding in recovery initiatives. Since 1981, the BIBF has been at the heart of facilitating training and development for Bahrain’s workforce and beyond and has continuously seized key opportunities to ensure the market at large remains on par with international best practice. We look forward to welcoming our attendees and we hope that the ideas shared during this and other webinars will be beneficial for all.”
As an institute that spearheads thought leadership concepts, the BIBF hosts a number of free seminars throughout the year that are open to the public and reflect both local and international perspectives to highlight various trending topics that support industries in Bahrain.
