The BIBF holds a virtual talk on Sustainable Cities

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) held a virtual real estate seminar via Zoom on sustainable cities and local communities, as part of a series of free periodic seminars to discuss the latest trends in the real estate field.
The seminar was presented by the CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, Eng. Ahmed Ali Al-Ammadi as a keynote speaker, who focused on the social sustainability aspects of Diyar Al Muharraq project in terms of designing a master plan that comprehensively enhances the quality of life of residents and supports individual and societal health for various segments of society. He also explained how everyone can contribute into achieving sustainability, pointing out that socially responsible products and services come at the forefront of millennial’s minds, as this generation prefers products and projects that are sustainable.
On his part, Mr. Ahmed Naeemi, BIBF Head of the Centre for Digital Transformation and Project Management presented key training programmes and seminars offered by the Centre for Real Estate professionals, and mentioned the BIBF’s recent initiatives in the real estate field, including the upcoming Real Estate Forum, that will be launched soon.
Ms. Zeeba Askar, BIBF Head of Banking & Finance Centre, also joined the seminar to discuss the the Kingdom’s steps towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also highlighted the Institute’s initiatives in the field of Sustainable development, including the Sustainable Development Academy that was launched last month, and includes training courses and professional qualifications to hone the skills and expertise of banking professionals in the field of sustainable finance.
