The BIBF celebrates its women cadres on Bahraini Women’s Day

Tuesday, 6 December 2022

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) celebrated its women cadres on Bahraini Women’s Day, in recognition of the prominent role played by women as active member  of the team, and their contributions to strengthening the BIBF’s position as a leading training and development provider in the region; supporting the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women in empowering women and enhancing their position to become effective partners in the development process under the guidance of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.

The BIBF noted the importance of gender diversity in the workplace, where women and men stand shoulder to shoulder in developing sound educational and training programmes that cater to the banking and finance industry and other business sectors, with the aim of further developing human capital potential in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On this occasion, Head of Human Resources Department at the BIBF Ms. Meaad Al Awadhi stated: “The BIBF women cadres represent 60% of its total workforce, 54% of executive management, and 25% of board members, which reflects the Institute’s keenness to support women as a women-driven organisation and its efforts to achieve gender equality in providing high-quality education and training.”

She added that the Institute’s strategy focuses on many initiatives that contribute to promoting the march of Bahraini women and enabling them to assume leading posts in the public and private sectors in the Kingdom.

Bahraini Women’s Day is celebrated annually on December 1 as part of an initiative by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) to honour the achievements and valuable insights and contribution made by Bahraini women towards the development and progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
