Launch of the Library at BIBF’s Headquarters Entitled “Al Salam Bank Library” in the presence of the Group CEO

Al Salam Bank’s Group CEO, Mr. Rafik Nayed, visited the new library at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) headquarters in Bahrain Bay, which was inaugurated under the name “Al Salam Bank Library” in the presence of representatives from the bank and the institute.
This came during Mr. Rafik Nayed’s visit to the new BIBF headquarters, where he was received by the BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh. The two parties reviewed ways of joint cooperation to enable young Bahraini cadres to acquire knowledge and training in the areas of banking, accounting, Islamic finance, digital transformation, leadership, management and insurance, amongst other key financial and commercial topics.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rafik Nayed, Group CEO of Al Salam Bank, said: “We are proud to partner with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance to open the Al Salam Bank Library at the Institute’s new campus, where students will be equipped with the tools necessary to further develop their banking knowledge. This initiative aligns with our commitment to the community, as we continuously strive to support the education sector by providing the youth with the necessary resources to keep up with and prepare for the ever-changing world of banking.”
On his part, the BIBF Director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh thanked Al Salam Bank for supporting the library and praised the bank’s strategic endeavours that aim at developing the banking and financial sector in the Kingdom and its efforts in providing educational resources. “This partnership is necessary for the advancement of this vital industry, which will contribute to raising the level of expertise in the Kingdom of Bahrain significantly.” He added
He also stressed that Al Salam Bank Library will be a rich source of industry knowledge, as it contain thousands of books and references in many disciplines, such as accounting, banking, Islamic finance, economics, information technology, insurance, marketing, business management, risk management, and other diverse topics. Dr. Al-Shaikh explained that the library will include spaces dedicated to conducting electronic research, and also provides daily local newspapers, publications, bulletins and specialised magazines in banking and finance, amongst other topics.
