The Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (BIBF) announced its strategic partnership with Ithmaar Bank, one of the leading Bahrain-based Islamic retail banks, as part of the institute’s building sponsorship project, located in Bahrain Bay and scheduled to be launched by the end of the year.
Under this agreement, one of the BIBF study halls will bear the name of Ithmaar Bank, with the objective of supporting education and training, strengthening the bank’s strategic position in the banking services sector, and emphasizing the importance of developing human capital in the Kingdom, especially in the field of Islamic banking.
The institute’s new building project is one of the most prominent development projects in the Kingdom, as it constitutes a milestone in the training and development of the workforce, especially for the financial services sector and in support of the national economy.
On this occasion, Ithmaar Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rahim said, “As one of the leading Islamic retail banks in Bahrain, Ithmaar Bank seeks to support working cadres and invest in the educational and training sphere and the development of Bahraini competencies, especially in the field of banking and finance sciences. We are pleased to sponsor a study hall in the Institute’s new building, in line with our vision to prepare a highly qualified generation with specialised skills to continue advancing the banking sector in the Kingdom, and in the interest of the Bank’s pioneering position and the belief in the Institute’s role in preparing future leaders and the positive impact on students by providing them with labour market skills. We are proud of our strategic partnership with the BIBF, and we look forward through this cooperation to achieve our common goals and contribute to enhancing Bahrain’s prestigious position in the field of specialised training.”
On his part, the BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh, said: “We look forward to this strategic partnership with Ithmaar Bank, one of the most prominent Islamic retail banks in Bahrain, an organisation committed to supporting future leaders and providing them with development skills and specialised sciences in the Kingdom. This project represents the importance of providing the appropriate infrastructure to support the cadres working in various sectors and their role in contributing to the comprehensive development of the Kingdom.”
The BIBF’s new headquarters construction project was launched last year with a budget of BD 12 million and a total area of 25 thousand square meters with a distinct waterfront view, with the aim of accommodating more students in the future, and the plans include providing the building with the latest technologies to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and innovation and provide the best services for trainees.
