Dr. Mesfer Al-Muhanadi

Head of Banking & Finance Centre

Dr. Al-Muhanadi completed his Ph.D. in Banking and Finance from the University of Salford, in Manchester, UK. He also holds degrees of Master of Commerce in Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce in Banking, Finance, and Risk Management from Griffith University, in Queensland, Australia.

Prior to joining BIBF, Dr. Al-Muhanadi held various roles at the University of Bahrain from the years 2011 to 2023 with the last being Assistant Professor of Banking and Finance and Head of Management and Marketing Department at the College of Business Administration. Also prior to that he was employed at Bahrain Defence Force.

Dr. Al-Muhanadi served in several internal committees at both University and College levels either as a chair or member. He has also several community services outside the University, such as organizing or participating in lectures, talks, seminars, workshops and other trainings. He has contributed with Bahrain’s Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA) in activities related to National Qualifications Framework and served as an External Validator for a BSc program. Moreover, he has also served as a member of organizing committees within international conferences and as a chair of sessions in conferences hosted and organized by the University of Bahrain.
