“Digital Transformation in Insurance” Kicks Off with an Elite of International Speakers

Under the Patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Virtual Conference “Digital Transformation in Insurance” successfully kicked off, with the presence of a number of senior leaders of the Insurance sector, in addition to experts and officials from other related sectors to discuss the latest digital trends in terms of providing an exceptional Customer Experience in the field of Insurance, and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a Centre For specialised training in the Region.
The conference was organised by the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance (BIBF) in collaboration with Bahrain National Holding Company (BNH) and attracted more than 550 participants from all over the world.
The virtual conference commenced with a speech by Abdul Rahman Al Baker, Executive Director – Financial Institutions Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, and Masood Bader, Deputy CEO of Bahrain National Holding, while the keynote session was presented by Dame Inga Beale, Portfolio Director, Former CEO of Lloyd’s of London.
Speaking at the conference was Talal Al-Zain, Group Chief Executive at Trust Re, Ali Moosa, Vice Chairman of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Stephen Wagstaff, Group Insurance Manager at YBA Kanoo Group, and Ms. Enas Asiri, General Manager at Bahrain National Life Assurance (BNL), in addition to an elite of speakers from the UK, Egypt, UAE, and Oman, and representatives of major international organisations such as PwC, EY and Swiss Re.
The conference discussions revolved around four main tracks, namely: Customer Excellence, Leading Competition, Business Innovation, and Regulatory Environment.
Furthermore, the virtual conference was held in the presence of senior decision-makers in the Insurance sector and senior economists who represent financial institutions from different countries around the world, making the conference an effective platform for exploring digital transformation opportunities and exchanging knowledge and experiences.
