BIBF Hosts Open House for International Undergraduate Programmes
BIBF, Bahrain’s premiere training provider, is hosting an open house on Saturday, 9th April from 10 am to 7 pm at their premises in Juffair to showcase its foundation and international undergraduate programmes offered in collaboration with the Bangor University (UK), and the University of London International Programmes (with academic direction from the London School of Economics).
The event is open to the public and will feature two information sessions: one from 11 am to 12 noon and the other from 5 pm to 6 pm. Students seeking to gain a high quality, internationally recognised degree locally, will highly benefit from the learning options BIBF provides.
BIBF will also highlight its International Foundation Programme, comparable to the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level and the Scottish Advanced Higher Standard. The programme is recognised by the National Recognition Information Centre (UK NARIC) and allows participants to enter directly into an undergraduate degree of their choice anywhere in the United Kingdom, provided the programme’s academic requirements are met. Students can also join any of BIBF’s undergraduate programmes.
The Bangor University graduate programme at BIBF is one of the most successful undergraduate programmes in the country. A combination of the exceptional academic programme and the unparalleled learning environment at BIBF have lent to the success of the degree. Graduates are also favoured by the local banking industry.
In 2014, BIBF launched the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management degree in collaboration with the University of London International Programmes. Academic direction, which means that staff at this college develop the syllabuses, prepare the study materials and are responsible for the assessment of students, is provided by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
LSE is a small specialist university with an international intake and a global reach. Its research and teaching span the full breadth of the social sciences, from economics, politics and law to sociology, anthropology, accounting and finance.
BIBF’s Bangor University and University of London undergraduate programmes are both recognised by the Higher Education Council (HEC), Bahrain.
