BIBF & BNH to host a virtual forum for Insurance Digital Transformation this November

Sunday, September 20, 2020

Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) and Bahrain National Holding (BNH) have partnered to organise a Digital Transformation Forum in November 2020 to reimagine the Insurance sector and future-proof the industry against further disruption, especially in a post-COVID world.

This one-day virtual forum will bring together key speakers and subject matter experts to shed light on the topic of Digital Transformation in the Insurance sector, and discuss how insurance companies need to rethink their business models to streamline product developments and enhance customer experiences.

The forum will focus on the impact of digital transformation on the Insurance sector and provide insights into how stakeholders can contribute to and benefit from this new era of connectivity. The forum will also tackle the effect of COVID-19 pandemic and how the Insurance sector can respond to the new imposed challenges.

Business professionals and executive management from the Insurance sector will engage and learn from keynote speakers, expert panelists and specialised workshops through an interactive and stimulating learning experience.

On this occasion, the BIBF Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh stated, “We are proud to partner with BNH on this key initiative to drive innovation and transformation across the Insurance industry in Bahrain.”

He also added, “Today, the Insurance sector has become a hub of digital innovation. In response, Insurance companies must fully embrace digital transformation to survive “the new normal” and achieve significant competitive advantage in customer and operational excellence.”

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain National Holding, Mr. Sameer AlWazzan said, “We are very pleased to announce the sponsorship and participation in this forward-thinking forum. Innovation & digitalisation are the key focus of BNH and its subsidiaries bni and bnl and its part of our commitment to actively contribute to increase the knowledge in the industry and develop the skillset of professionals working in the Insurance sector.”

“In a situation where the global economic environment is wildly changing in an unprecedented fashion, now is the time for digital economy experts with a range of perspectives to pool their collective wisdom. This forum will set the stage through which we can review changes in life and the industry in the digital transformation era and discover insights that can accelerate innovation.” he added.
