Bahrain’s Fintech Ecosystem Gets a Boost with BIBF and Binance Academy Partnership

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), region’s premier training and development provider, have announced a strategic partnership with Binance Academy, the leading global blockchain and crypto asset education platform, to upskill professionals in blockchain and crypto. The collaboration aims to enhance Bahrain’s position as a leading hub globally for talent training and development in crypto and Fintech innovations.

Through this partnership, the BIBF and Binance Academy will offer a range of worldclass training, workshops, hackathons, and events. Professionals, students, and enthusiasts will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the blockchain and crypto industry.

Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, Director of the BIBF, said, “We are delighted to partner with Binance Academy to offer professionals access to world-class blockchain and crypto training. This partnership aligns with our mission to provide quality education and training that meets the needs of the industry and the wider community.”

This partnership builds on Binance’s already established relationship with Bahrain. As the first crypto-asset trading service provider in Bahrain to receive a Category 4 license, Binance Bahrain was granted that license by the Central Bank of Bahrain in May 2021. This license allows Binance Bahrain to offer a full range of crypto-asset exchange services, positioning it as a leader in the emerging sector not only in the region, but globally.

The partnership between the BIBF and Binance Academy underscores Bahrain’s commitment to developing its Fintech ecosystem and supporting the growth of the blockchain and crypto industry.
