BIBF and Strathclyde Business School welcomes new MBA cohort

Sunday, October 17, 2021

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) welcomed the new cohort of the Executive MBA Programme – awarded by its long-standing partner Strathclyde Business School – in a virtual induction. The induction was attended by senior officials from the University of Strathclyde such as Dr. Marisa Smith, Operations Director and Angela McAulay, Senior MBA Programme Administrator, along with other officials.

Students many of whom are senior executives in the public and private sector were introduced to the programme objectives and learning outcomes as part of their future experience.

On this occasion, the BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed AlShaikh said, “We are proud of the BIBF’s partnership with University of Strathclyde as it brings the well-established MBA degree, with its Triple Accreditation from the three main business school accreditation bodies – AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS – placing the BIBF graduates in the top 1 percent of elite school graduates globally.

Head of Academics Centre at the BIBF, Dr. Raja Bucheeri stated, “The BIBF strives to provide internationally-recognised qualifications that match local and regional business requirements, and we are  glad to have the Strathclyde Executive MBA for 26 years in Bahrain, as one of the most highly sought-after MBAs in the world.

On his part, Associate Principal and Executive Dean of the Strathclyde Business School, Professor David Hillier said, “Strathclyde Business School has been delivering the Strathclyde MBA on an executive part-time basis via our international centres since 1988. We’ve successfully offered and developed the MBA in Bahrain since 1995 and we are proud to continue the legacy. We wish the students all the best as they embark on this new journey!”
