AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation concludes its Digital Ambassador Programme with a Hackathon

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) successfully concluded its Digital Ambassador Programme, in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), designed to equip AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation brand ambassadors with knowledge in advanced, unique, and market required digital skills.
The Digital Ambassador Programme is an innovative 3-week training programme aimed at candidates between the ages of 17 to 21, to empower them transform their future organisations through a set of innovative and practical digital tools, skills, and concepts. The programme brought together 20 candidates to participate in an exciting, hands-on learning experience and navigate the next wave of technology to future-proof their careers in the digital age.
The digital ambassadors were introduced to five learning tracks, starting from setting the mindset to learn all about emerging technologies, and ending with putting their knowledge into practice by presenting creative solutions. Topics included Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, FinTech, and Design Thinking. Participants also learned how to effectively communicate remotely, which is a key skill in times of crisis.
The programme was wrapped up with a 3-day hackathon to ensure knowledge transfer through an experiential learning activity, where candidates presented an innovative new business idea in front of a judging panel from the BIBF, AlMabarrah AlKhalifia and ila Bank.

BIBF Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, stated, Bahrain is treading on the right path of the economic digitisation. To fuel this growth, it will require a large, highly skilled, and technically qualified talent pool that can fulfill this demand and contribute to the Kingdom’s growth, prosperity, and successful transformation into a digital economy of the future.
