ACIP – Award for Certified Insurance Practitioner
Overview
The BIBF Award for Certified Insurance Practitioner (ACIP) is designed to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills in the most common lines of Insurance as per international standards and local market practice to subsequently apply those concepts to real life scenarios.
ACIP Structure
The ACIP comprises of five compulsory modules as follow:

4022 | Property Insurance & Business Interruption | Insurance Principles and Practice | 2 hours proctored exam, 4 weeks after course completion |
Classroom Session & Attendance Policy
Candidates will attend compulsory classroom and/or online lectures comprising of:
- 25 hours per module
- 5 days
- 5 hours per day
with experienced faculty and conduct independent study until their final exam.
In order to be eligible to sit for the exam, the candidate must maintain a minimum 75% attendance per module, whether it is face to face classroom or virtual. A candidate falling below the minimum will not be eligible to sit for the module examination.
Target Audience
The ACIP certification is suitable for entry to middle level professionals at core insurance functions such as underwriting, claim handling and reinsurance management as well as brokers and agents and managers of insurance portfolios in non-insurance organizations.
Additionally, it is suitable for insurance professionals at middle to senior level working at support insurance functions such as finance and accounting, compliance, etc.
Admission Requirements
- Post-secondary school diploma
- Or Secondary school certificate with 2 years of relevant experience and appropriate English fluency level (this will assessed by an English language proficiency through BIBF
- Or by presenting valid English certificate of an equivalency of IELTS level 5)
