MSF Seminar/Experential Learning at the end of the program (8 credit hours in Chicago – equivalent of 2 courses)

Topics covered & methodology

  • Series of short modules covering
    • behavioral finance
    • impact and use of AI in financial decision making
    • programming and data base toiols
    • modelling
  • external visits (such as FRB Chicago, CME Group, Morningstar, a hedge fund)
  • guest speakers

For students that can not go to Chicago there will be alternative courses for them in Bahrain to cover the credit hours.

  • Essay explaining your interest in the program and your professional goals.
  • CV/Resume that summarizes your work experience and educational background.
  • Official transcripts from all degree-granting institutions you have attended.
  • Undergraduate course work with C or better in:
    •  Principles of financial accounting
    • Principles of microeconomics
    • Principles of macroeconomics
    • Statistics
    • Students who have not demonstrated these competencies through previous coursework are required to achieve these competencies prior to registration for the core courses.
  1. Each course is taught in three week modules with approximately 1 week between each course
  2. Courses are taught by DePaul faculty
  3. No classes are held during the holy month of Ramadan or in August or National holidays
  4. Students meet with DePaul professors three times per week:


Sunday & Tuesday 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Friday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

DePaul brings its global experience to the Gulf Region as it is the first resident programme for Bahrain and the Gulf Region. It is the first MBA programme solely taught by U.S. faculty in the Middle East. DePaul University of Chicago has partnered with the BIBF to offer an MBA programme since 2002 and has been successfully running for over 17 years.
