UNIVERSITY DETAILS

  • Takes three academic years to complete (2 years for the Validated Diploma + the final year)
  • Two Semesters (from September – January & from February - June)
  • Mode: Full-time
  • Four modules per semester
  • A combination of guided-learning and self-study is required
  • Sessions are conducted in small groups allowing for maximum support and interaction
  • Receive training in the only “Dealing Room” simulation in the region.
  • Access to internship opportunities and extracurricular activities
  • You will be assessed through a mixture of continuous assessment and written examinations.
  • You will complete assignments such as collecting and analyzing information from commercial databases or the internet, preparing business case studies, written essays and completing problem-solving exercising.
  1. Statement of Graduation issued by the Ministry of Education
  2. High school leaving diploma
  3. Foundation Year Completion Certificate or:
    • International Baccalaureate- IB Score (24 points)
    • Advanced Level (A-Level) - 3 A-levels with a minimum score of C
    • CBSE minimum of 65% with 70% in English
    • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (MMP – DDM)
  4. IELTS (UK VI) Score of 6 each band score not less than 5.5
  1. Foundation Year Completion Certificate or:
    • International Baccalaureate- IB Score (24 points)
    • Advanced Level (A-Level) - 3 A-levels with a minimum score of C
    • CBSE minimum of 65% with 70% in English
    • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (MMP – DDM)
  2. Statement of Graduation issued by the Ministry of Education.
  3. High school leaving diploma from the High School stamped by the Ministry of Education, Bahrain
  4. Letter of good conduct issued by the High School
  5. Passport Copy
  6. CPR Copy (Front & Back)
  7. 2 passport size photographs
  8. Medical Report from a Public Health Centre (Physical Examination including Eyesight and Blood Pressure)
  9. IELTS or alternative (see "Entry Requirements")

Start your application by submitting a copy of your passport and CPR, then complete the other requirements as needed

Students have the option to choose one of the following structures:

  • 2 years in Bahrain & 1 year at Bangor (UK); or
  • 3 years in Bahrain
  • The needs of conventional financial institutions and how they are operating nowadays.
  • To learn about the skills and responsibilities of entry level banking/ finance/ Islamic Finance positions
  • To be able to learn concepts academically and prepare them for further studies (Professional Qualifications and Post-graduate Degrees).
  • The understanding of the jurisprudential and theoretical fundamentals of Islamic Banking and Finance within the Islamic Finance Diploma.
  • To provide an appreciation of the investment regulations relating to the banking industry and to Islamic banks in particular
  • To learn trading and portfolio building skills through the simulated training platform, "The BIBF Dealing Room".

The recent "BIBF Graduate Destination Survey" shows that about 86% of our graduates successfully find a job or pursue postgraduate study within 6 months of graduation, reflecting the strong reputation that the programme has built over the years amongst employers and the quality of our graduates.

Fees:

  • New Fees starting 2024-2025 intake, onwards
  • A One-Off Registration Payment BHD 100/-
  • (Year 1 and 2) BHD 2,500 per Semester (Excluding Books and Lab Fees)
  • Year 3 in Bahrain BHD 3,000 per Semester (Excluding Books and Lab Fees)
