How to join the BIBF library?
Levy members can join for free by filling in the levy member form.
Non-levy members can also join by filling in the non-levy member form and paying a fee of BHD 20.
How to borrow books?
Once students have selected the books they would like to borrow, the librarian will issue the books. Books cannot be issued if the student is not member of the library or you has a block on their library record due to an overdue recalled book.
How to search for books?
Once students join the library, they will be provided with a unique username and password in order to access the library database to search for books to borrow.
How to place a hold on a book that is out on loan?
If members would like to borrow books that are out on loan by another user, they can contact the Librarian to place a reservation on a book. As soon as the book becomes available for borrowing, the member will be contacted by Librarian.
For how long can a book be borrowed for?
A book can be borrowed for a period of two weeks. However, if users would like to extend the borrowing period, they can renew the book, either by phone, email, or in person.
Students may renew material provided that no other person has made a request for the same item.
