Ahmed Naeemi

Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Ahmed Naeemi is the Chief Operations Officer at the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF). He has over 23 years of experience in IT & Digital management as well as a wide professional knowledge in the applicability of online experience into the real world.

Mr. Naeemi currently sits on the Board and is the Audit Committee Chairman of Invita BPO, a major Business Process Outsourcing company in Bahrain. Furthermore, he is a board member of BFC Payments B.S.C., a leading electronic payments and fintech solutions company in Bahrain. Additionally, Mr. Naeemi is the co-director of startup grind, a global startup community for entrepreneurs.

Mr. Naeemi holds a Master’s of Science degree in Management Information Systems from University of Phoenix, USA, and a Bachelors of Commerce degree majoring in Management Information Systems from Concordia University, Montreal Canada. He also holds a number of certifications in management, leadership, and the IT fields.

Prior to joining the BIBF, he was the Director of MIS in Gulf Finance House (GFH). Furthermore, he was a key leader of IT & Project Management in several other banking institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain such as Capivest and National Bank of Bahrain. He also held a position as Head of Technology for a major Canadian Online firm in Montreal Canada for several years.

He is a highly respected individual in the IT and Project Management field whereas he holds several positions with a number of leading non-profit organisations. He served on the board of the ICT Specific Council in the Ministry of Labour and he was also on the board of many societies such as Bahrain Internet Society, Bahrain Information Technology Society and Project Management Institute.

During his extensive years of professional service, Ahmed managed to successfully execute a number of international events and programmes in Bahrain. He is an inspiring regional keynote speaker in specialist conferences. He made contributions as a keynote speaker in many conferences and took part in many events around the region talking about various Digital transformation, management and project management topics.
