The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) will continue accepting applications for its bachelor’s programmes for the 2026-2027 academic year until 31 August, according to Head of the BIBF Centre for Academic Studies, Dr Haifaa Khalaf.

Dr Khalaf encouraged students and parents to explore the available programmes and complete their applications before admissions close.

She said the programmes allow students to earn internationally recognised UK degrees while studying in Bahrain through BIBF’s academic partnerships with Bangor University and the University of London, without the need to travel abroad.

The bachelor’s degrees offered in partnership with Bangor University include Banking with Financial Technology, Banking and Finance, and Accounting and Finance. BIBF also offers the Economics and Management and Data Science and Business Analytics degrees from the University of London, with academic direction from the London School of Economics (LSE). In addition, the International Foundation Programme prepares school graduates for bachelor’s study.

Dr Khalaf said: “Our programmes give students the opportunity to earn a recognised UK degree while studying in Bahrain. They can also benefit from BIBF’s strong links with the financial and business sectors, which provide opportunities for internships and practical experience with established organisations.”

She added: “Practical experience helps students understand the workplace, apply what they learn and develop the professional skills they need to begin their careers after graduation.”

Dr Khalaf noted that BIBF graduates continue to record strong employment outcomes, reflecting the relevance of the academic programmes to labour market needs and the role of applied learning and practical experience in preparing students for employment.

BIBF is also offering a 10% tuition fee waiver for eligible students joining the International Foundation Programme, as well as a tuition fee reduction of up to 37.5% for first-year students on the BSc Economics and Management programme.

Dr Khalaf said the academic programmes are recognised by Bahrain’s Higher Education Council and support national efforts to expand access to quality higher education and prepare Bahraini talent for careers across the financial, economic and technology sectors.
