The BIBF celebrates 35 years of achievements
The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) was officially inaugurated in in 1981. Thirty-five years ago, during its opening year, the Institute had a total staff of five who conducted training for 213 participants over eight courses in 491 square metres on the top floor of an office building in Old Palace Road.
The BIBF has come a long way since then. It is now world-renowned, has staff numbering 100 and 20,000 students with 400 different courses on offer. The campus is spread over 2,667.6 square metres and will soon be moved to ultra-modern, custom-built premises next to the Bahrain Financial Harbour.
The year 2016 proved to be one of the most dynamic years in the rich history of the Institute. A Royal Decree issued in 2016 confirmed the governance shift to the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
The BIBF’s strategy for growth is based on market needs and the dynamic nature of those requirements.
Over the past 35 years, the BIBF has had an international footprint in 63 countries training more than 340,000 individuals and organizations since 1981.
The BIBF continues to be the Top Learning provider in many disciplines, providing the local and regional workforce with the necessary skillsets and the latest educational and training trends to equip organisations and individuals with the required concepts for their personal career progression and organisational excellence.
The BIBF is a non-profit organisation that strives for quality in all programmes on offer, as the official training arm of the CBB.
