Going to a huge university can be very overwhelming and BIBF takes away from that. Being a small institution makes it a very comfortable environment but doesn’t take away from the experience of going to a university as they give us all of the opportunities, education and extracurricular wise, that any university would. And to add to all of it, you get to experience going abroad to complete your final year! I’m still new and just going into my second semester, but I couldn’t see myself going to any other university and I look forward to continuing on in BIBF.

I’m currently working at Kuwait Finance House Bank – Bahrain as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Reporting Department. After 5 years of experience in my position, I decided to pursue my Masters in Finance. During my Master’s program, I benefited a great deal from the sound academic education I received from the University of Bangor as they helped in building concrete foundation to the underlying educational concepts. Comparing my professional achievements to date, I believe that I’m moving in the right path with a good career. Hence I would like to state that studying at the University of Bangor was a great decision as it has provided me with the tools necessary to excel in my professional career.

Senior Credit Analyst, Al Salam Bank
When I reflect on my four years in Bangor University, I conclude that the experience assured me that it is the best program in the Kingdom for Banking and Finance. Through the lectures, incredibly supportive classmates, and professors who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover a Banker side in me I never knew existed. The program prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career and it is the reason behind my success today.
Having been shaped in part by the friendly and creative, yet rigorous, environment at Bangor, I found myself able to communicate, innovate, and collaborate in ways that enabled me to build a successful banking career. Evidence to that is my current position as a “Senior Credit Analyst” in the Risk Management Department in one of the big banks in the Kingdom which I have reached in a short period of time.
I enjoyed studying in Bangor University to the extent that I won’t hesitate to do it all over again. It was an amazing period of my life, and the best educational experience I’ve had.
