Bahrain - The Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) has announced signing a new joint partnership agreement with the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) to join the graduates training and career development program conducted by BIBF in cooperation with TAMKEEN.
The training program provides a scenario for the selection and recruitment of new university graduates in developing their skills through career training programs. The program aims at refining and preparing graduates to become professionally qualified for leadership positions in the banking and financial sector, including credit risk, treasury, investment, financial control and human resources.
"KHCB is keen, through the partnership in this program; to providing support to programs designed to train university graduates that will qualify them in joining banking and financial institutions and to develop them through practice. This initiative on the part of KHCB is part of the Bank's social responsibility and is a well-conceived ongoing contribution for the benefit of the community in which we operate,†says Mr. Ebrahim H. Ebrahim, the Chief Executive Officer and Board member of KHCB “There is no doubt that the program offered by BIBF and TAMKEEN is one of the leading programs in this field. The Bank is keen to support such programs in order to attain the desired objective."
BIBF's Director, Garry Muriwai, said "It is pleasing to have the KHCB partnership in place supporting our training program for the selection and training of graduates for leadership positions within the Kingdom’s financial institutions. Having KHCB join 13 other major financial institutions in the program reflects both the importance of the graduate program and in particular KHCB’s visionary attitude in the current climate supporting the development of Bahrain’s young graduates and strengthening the country’s human capital.â€
The program is divided into four areas including the selection and preparation of graduates for work and training for a certificate of professional competence, as well as for post-graduate training.
Eligible graduates will be invited to join the program by advertising in the media and by visiting universities to introduce the program first-hand to undergraduates.
