CBB - BIBF Financial Advisor Graduation held

96 professional staff from within the Bahrain financial sector were honored at a awards ceremony held at the Bahrain Conference Centre, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Bahrain to celebrate their graduation as Financial Advisors from the BIBF – CBB Financial Advice Programme.

The event was held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and in the presence of Mr Khalid Hamad Executive Director Banking Surpervision and BIBF Director Mr. Garry Muriwai.

BIBF’s Director, Mr. Garry Muriwai, congratulated all graduates on behalf of BIBF’s Centre for Banking. He acknowledged their dedication and BIBF’s committment to providing world class programmes to meet the changing marketplace legislative requirements. I know that these initiatives of the CBB along with BIBF expertise in training and education will further strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional financial centre”.

Mr Khalid Hamad Executive Director Banking Surpervision CBB commented “It is very encouraging to note the way in which banks and individual members of staff have embraced the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the financial industry through the successful completion of this programme. The CBB looks forward to others following in the footsteps of these graduates”.

The Financial Advice Programme designed and developed by BIBF in collaboration with the CBB was launched in June 2011. It is a minimum mandatory programme launched by CBB for current entry level financial advisers within the banking sector of the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as aspirants to this profession. Participant graduates have included employees of Bahrain based conventional and Islamic banks, foreign banks operating in Bahrain, investment banks, and specialised institutions in addition to individuals in other fields who are seeking a career in financial advice.
