A graduation ceremony took Monday 19 March at BIBF for 22 delegates from the financial sector who completed the "International Diploma in Compliance" from BIBF's partner the International Compliance Association.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the graduates organisations and BIBF staff.

Of major significance to BIBF was the achievement of seven of the twenty two graduates from Bahrain who passed the qualification with distinction grades. This group obtained the best performance globally in the 2011 International Diploma in Compliance exams.

We congratulate all graduates on their achievement but in particular those who invested their time, commitment and resources to prove that they are best globally.

Mr. Garry Muriwai, Director, BIBF said "The International Diploma in Compliance is a specialised qualification available from the leading global compliance body taught here at BIBF. Any global qualification has to meet stringent international standards and as is the norm for other like minded international professional qualifications is designed to reward those who deserve and earn it. It gives me great pleasure to be able to announce the latest successful graduates in this batch, and especially the outstanding achievement of the seven who achieved best in class in the world. It is a testament to all involved and again showcases Bahrain as a hub of financial sector excellence."

Mr Zubin Muriya, Deputy Head of Compliance and AML from BMI Bank B.S.C., who achieved the highest marks commented "Pursuing the Diploma in International Compliance was a natural step as it is relevant to my field of work and would obviously go a long way in enhancing my career profile and growth.

"My concerns over the course of nine months were taken care of by qualified professionals from BIBF who provided support and guidance by furnishing valuable advice and literature time and again. They ensured that we were confidently placed for the exam."
