The Centre for Banking is the leading provider of training and education services to the banking and financial services industry in Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Our programmes are aimed at both organisations and individuals within the financial sector and range from entry level staff to senior level management across all Banking functions and disciplines.

With BIBF's original remit training for the Banking sector, the Centre developed a country first qualification (BSDP) which today remains a highly sought-after requirement which has evolved to meet the needs of the 21st Century banking community.

The Centre has followed the BIBF strategy of global partnerships for local development. For the Banking sector, this is paramount as areas such as risk management and anti-money laundering have significantly increased their profile and their need for specialists in these fields.

The partnerships we have with CFA Institute, International Compliance Association, and PRMIA are geared to provide the specialist qualifications that are internationally recognised and sought-after.

The Centre for Banking has a wide range of training courses for banks and other financial institutions in Bahrain and the region. These includes Open Courses (e.g. short courses which run in the mornings at BIBF throughout the year) in the areas of Domestic Banking, Credit and Credit Analysis, Finance and Economics, International Banking, Treasury and Capital Markets; special offerings in different areas of Banking which are customised to the particular needs of our clients in and outside Bahrain; and external offerings which are delivered by experts from all over the world on cutting edge topics in Banking and Finance throughout the year for middle to top level management. There are also a number of Professional Qualifications which are provided in the evenings.
