I have attended several Accounting courses at BIBF, and I highly and always recommend BIBF courses to all my friends and colleagues because of the proficiency in delivering the course materials and how the objectives of the courses are met. Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DIPIFR)
Knowledge for today's business environment
Finance professionals not already familiar with the principles of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be faced with the challenge of developing a working knowledge of IFRS as quickly as possible.

The Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) is designed to develop your knowledge of IFRS -providing an understanding of the concepts and principles which underpin them, and their application in the international marketplace.

The tuition materials and the course teaching environment at BIBF focus on the practical implementation of IFRS in the real reporting world and so will suit those who are practically engaged in reporting under IFRS. It does not teach basic accounting -it is geared for those who are already practising accountants.
Details about the DipIFR
Overview and objectives
All listed countries in the European Union are required to prepare consolidated company accounts in compliance with IFRS. IFRS also affects associates and subsidiaries of EU-listed companies, and with many countries around the world moving towards applying IFRS, the impact of financial reporting is significant.

The course is in preparation for the ACCA DipIFR. ACCA has long-believed in the importance of international accounting and financial reporting standards in global business, and was the first organisation to offer globally-available online and open-learning qualifications in international financial reporting and auditing. The qualification is intended as a conversion course for professional accountants already qualified or experienced in country specific financial reporting standards, for example US GAAP.

The diploma programme addresses international financial reporting and first time application of international financial reporting standards.

Syllabus aim

To provide qualified accountants or graduates possessing relevant country specific qualifications or work experience with an up to date and relevant conversion course, providing a practical and detailed knowledge of the key international financial reporting standards and how they are interpreted and applied.

What are the entry requirements?
.
Possession of a country-specific professional accounting qualification- e.g. American CPA
.
Relevant degree and two years' full time relevant accounting experience supported by an employer's letter. A relevant degree will usually be an accounting degree giving exemptions from papers F1 (Accountant in business), F2 (Management Accounting), F3 (Financial Accounting) and F4 (Corporate and Business law) of the ACCA qualification. This means that only some accounting degrees/majors will be acceptable entry qualifications
.
Three years' full time relevant accounting experience, supported by employer's letter
When can I apply?

Applications are accepted throughout the year, although there is a cut-off date which will be given on the website for each cohort of students.

Programme Fees

There is a non-refundable registration fee of BHD 25. The full programme fee is BHD 1,200. All fees must be paid before the commencement of the programme. Failure to pay fees by the due date will lead to the admission being cancelled and the place offered to another eligible applicant. The fees due date will be given at the time of application. The fees are inclusive of the study materials and one sitting of the BIBF examination. Resit BIBF examinations will be charged for separately and the fee will be determined at the time of registering for the examination. These fees do not include the ACCA registration and examination entry fees, which can be obtained by visiting the ACCA website at http://www.accaglobal.com/members/qualifications/dipifr/register/fees.
